Book Review: Dark Flame by Alyson Noel

Goodreads Description:
At the start of this mesmerizing new installment of the Immortals series, Ever is helping her friend Haven transition into life as an immortal. But with Haven drunk on her new powers and carelessly putting them all at risk, their friendship becomes more and more strained. At the same time, Ever delves deeper into magick in order to get control over her enemy Roman and free Damen from his power. But when the spell she casts on Roman backfires, she’s bound to her deadliest enemy. Frantic to reverse the spell the moment the moon enters a new phase, she finds her efforts are fruitless—there’s a strange, foreign pulse coursing through her, one that propels her toward Roman. Desperate to break free of this terrible curse before Damen or the twins can discover what she’s done, she turns to Jude and delves deeper and deeper into dark magick, ultimately risking everything she knows and loves—including Damen.

Words can't express how much I love this series! And Dark Flame did not disappoint. From the moment I picked up this book I could not put it down. Throughout the entire thing I found myself talking aloud saying things like..."No...What are you doing?" I just couldn't help myself. Dark Flame keeps you one the edge of your seat because you have no idea what Ever is going to do next. And now I am dying to read the next installment...Night Star, due to be released November 23rd.

But to tide me over, the lovely Alyson Noel has yet another fabulous book coming out August 31st. Radiance is the first in a series featuring Riley, Ever's sister. She is an absolutely adorable character and I can't wait to get my hands on this book! For a sneak peek check out this beautiful trailer:

Doesn't Radiance look gorgeous? So tell me...what wonderful jewels are you reading right this minute? I'm just dying to know! And be sure to stop by Monday for an awesome interview with Anastasia Hopcus author of the newly released Shadow Hills.
Happy Friday everyone!

This cover always grabs my eyes at the bookstore, but I haven't heard a lot about it until today. Thanks for sharing your feelings on this one. I am just about to finish Shadow Hills today and it is awesome! It's one of the few books I've been reading lately that seems to have a very active, initiative-taking protag. Can't wait to stop by Monday!

Thanks!

Marissa

I have to say I've been curious about this author. She'll be coming into town for the Smart Chicks Kick It tour and I've been thinking about picking up a few of her novels and getting caught up! I'm glad you loved the novel and thanks to you it's in my TBR pile now!!!
