Vacation's Over

Well, I don't know if I'd call it a vacation, though we had fun...but boy am I glad to be back! I just got home lastnight and am totally spent. My brain is so jam packed with information it will take at least two weeks to process!

So what did I accomplish while in Kansas City at my conference?
*I have yet another big honking binder that I pray doesn't break my bookshelf at school. (Yes we got through the entire thing in a week!)
*I am now even more addicted to Starbucks (We had one in the hotel.)
*I got to see Eclipse! (I mentioned that already didn't I?) Sorry!
*Shopping!
*Finished my current WIP!
*Doodled several new ideas for an old manuscript
*Oh, and we visited so many good bookstores! My to be read pile is out of control! I could read until school starts and not be caught up!

So I am off to untangle my brain. Any advice on how that is accomplished would be greatly appreciated.

But I will leave you on a positive note...
While "writing" this morning, I stumbled onto a contest for a copy of Shadow Hills by Anastacia Hopcus. She is giving away 6 copies...so six lucky readers will get a sneak peak. This book sounds fabulous and I am dying to read it!
Here is the Goodreads description:

His love captivated her... his secrets might kill her.

Since her sister’s mysterious death, Persephone “Phe” Archer has been plagued by a series of disturbing dreams. Determined to find out what happened to her sister, Phe enrolls at Devenish Prep in Shadow Hills, Massachusetts—the subject of her sister’s final diary entry.

After stepping on campus, Phe immediately realizes that there’s something different about this place—an unexplained epidemic that decimated the town in the 1700s, an ancient and creepy cemetery, and gorgeous boy Zach—and somehow she’s connected to it all.

But the more questions she asks and the deeper she digs, the more entangled Phe becomes in the haunting past of Shadow Hills. Finding what links her to this town…might cost her her life. [close]

An absolute must read! Here's the catch...you have to enter by 6:00 tonight! Interested? Click here to enter. Good Luck!
