Harry Through The Years...

"I had an idea for a boy who had magical powers but didn't really know what he was."
J.K. Rowling

My the creations that can stem from one simple idea…

When we first met Harry, he was known only as the boy from the cupboard who lost his parents. One couldn't help but feel sorry for the plain little human that had been forced to endure years of torment at the hands of his relatives the Dursleys.

Then Harry turned eleven and everything changed. He was then known as “The Boy Who Lived” and was thrust into a world of magic and intrigue. Harry couldn't help but fall in love with the world that his own parents fought so hard to save.

Over the years Harry has met his fair share of obstacles. Now he faces his biggest challenge yet. Armed with the knowledge that he is “The Chosen One,” Harry must destroy Voldemort in order to save this life he’s grown so fond of. But what sets Harry apart from other hero’s for me is the fact that he would do what needs to be done to protect those he loves. No matter what.

My how far he’s come since that first ride on The Hogwart’s Express…

My whole family can wait for the movie. When I picked up the first book (the 3rd had just been released), my first born hadn't been conceived yet. He's about to turn eleven. Wow, it's hard to believe HP been around for so long.

Love this post. Have you noticed they've allowed Daniel Radcliffe to sport a bit of stubble on his chin for this film? All growed up now isn't he?

I almost feel bitterweet about the last movie coming out. Nothing compared to how I felt after reading the last book though...At least I can go back and read and watch them again but it doesn't change teh fact that the story is closed and hammered down. There will never be another harry potter.

Too funny. Yesterday at work, I was evaluating press release pictures of the cast when the first movie came out. There were such babies. So cool we've been able to watch them grow up.

We're either going at midnight or the morning of Thanksgiving!

Aww, I can't believe it's almost over. Sniff. These characters have been a huge part of peoples lives for the last decade. It's like saying farewell to family.

I love the posters! It's so awesome how the movies have progressed along with the books to become darker in tone. And it's so cute to think back on Harry, Ron, and Hermione as adorable little kids!

Those posters are so cool. Young Dan Radcliffe was so adorable, I wanted to adopt him!

What's so interesting about Harry is how he survives the Dursleys' abuse and doesn't become warped to the degree Tom Riddle does in strikingly similar circumstances.

Looking at these posters makes me feel so nostalgic. It's sad that it's almost over. :(

Gorgeous! It's also amazing to note how much technology has progressed... I mean look atthe difference in the posters!

My family and I have seen the movie every opening day together - I used to get to miss school! So I'm going twice in like 14 hours. WOOT WOOT!

I hope they have the original version here (in English) when it comes out in France! I love the first poster you posted. He's, like, so small and adorable!
