On My Wishlist

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City. It's where you can list all the books you desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own 'On My Wishlist' post. If you want to know more click here.

This week on my wishlist:

I was actually going to skip my wishlist this week. Then I saw this...
The Pledge by Kimberly Derting

From Goodreads:
A romantic sci-fi novel set in a dystopic, war-torn world, in which a teenage girl realizes that she may be the key to saving her country.

And for fans of Vampire Academy...
Bloodlines (Bloodlines #1) by Richelle Mead

Goodreads Description:
Bloodlines is a spin off of the series "Vampire Academy." It centers around Sydney, a human alchemist. Jill, a Moroi Vampire will also have a key role. The male lead will be a love interest from Vampire Academy.

Bloodlines takes place at a high school in California. We're still in the same universe and with the same rules as Vampire Academy.

Wither (Chemical Garden #1) by Lauren DeStefano

Goodreads Description:
Thanks to modern science, every human being has become a ticking genetic time bomb—males only live to age twenty-five, and females only live to age twenty. In this bleak landscape, young girls are kidnapped and forced into polygamous marriages to keep the population from dying out.

When sixteen-year-old Rhine Ellery is taken by the Gatherers to become a bride, she enters a world of wealth and privilege. Despite her husband Linden's genuine love for her, and a tenuous trust among her sister wives, Rhine has one purpose: to escape—to find her twin brother and go home.

But Rhine has more to contend with than losing her freedom. Linden's eccentric father is bent on finding an antidote to the genetic virus that is getting closer to taking his son, even if it means collecting corpses in order to test his experiments. With the help of Gabriel, a servant Rhine is growing dangerously attracted to, Rhine attempts to break free, in the limited time she has left.

That's it for this week. I apologize in advance for possibly adding to your TBR pile. I know mine is already out of control. So what books are you dying to get your hands on?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Kimberly Derting--is she the author of The Body Finder and Desires of the Dead? If so, I'm in for The Pledge!

I saw The Pledge mentioned somewhere and had no idea what the individual was talking about. It didn't look like it was part of the Body Finder series (which I'm positive they'll be more books for). I'm going to check it out.

And Bloodlines is already on my list. I have a feeling Adrian is in it. At least I'm hoping he is. :D

Great pics, as always. The Pledge sounds interesting. Haven't heard of it, yet.

I don't know these books, but I do know the authors.
