So this week I am thankful for...
Of course, my kids. I have been blessed with two amazing kids that keep things lively. There is never a dull moment at my house. My son is thirteen and my daughter is four. You can imagine how well they get along. He's into sports and X-box, she loves ballet and anything princess.
Oh yeah, they clash.
But I wouldn't have them any other way. They are the best inspiration whenever I hit a mental block. Listening to their banter, watching my daughter play dress up and dance around her room. They give my mind that little bit of a break it sometimes needs to let that last idea slip in. It honestly never fails.
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the day to day tasks, we forget to step back and just observe life. I advise trying it. You'll be amazed at what you see. I know I am. Each and every time.
Sorry for the syrupy sweetness today, but it is what it is! And now it is you turn...so what is it that you are thankful for this week? I hope everyone has a great day, tomorrow is Friday and I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am for that as well.

Great post! Like you, my kids are my number 1 followed closely by my husband of almost 13 years--I can not imagine what life would be like without those 3 people.
Professionally, I'm so thankful that I took some risks starting about 8 years ago and started writing novel length fiction. I'm so grateful to every writer, agent, and editor who takes the time to share their knowledge and teach others. Aside from conferences and books that I've purchased, almost everything I've learned about writing and the publishing business has been free, online information.
I am thankful (soooo thankful) for my agent.
And finally, I am ready (soooo ready) to be thankful to an editor. They can feel free to walk into my world any day...like today would be perfect.
There's nothing better than offspring, especially when they're better people than you ever were (me, not you).
You are too sweet. I love it.
As for me, I'm thankful that I don't have kids! LOL! ;P
Great post, Renae! It's good that you're kids keep things lively.
I'm thankful for my family, especially my sister. I know a lot of siblings aren't as close as we are, and I'm very thankful that we are, and that she's always there for me.
Great idea to slow down and be thankful. My daughter is 13 too. I'm grateful for her and my husband. I'm glad his health is fairly stable, at least for him. Now if life could slow down so I could have more time to write.
