Witches and Wizards and Monsters and Ghouls...you get the idea. The month of October is hands down my favorite month and I absolutely love Halloween! What's not to love? I get to dress up my kids in adorable costumes, well okay maybe just my daughter. My son thinks he's outgrown it.
And then there's trick or treating, spooky movies and passing out all that candy. We definitely go all out for Halloween at my house.
Speaking of spooktacular celebrations, my agent Bree Ogden is having event after event in celebration of this droolworthy month over on her blog This Literary Life. It all starts with her can't miss interview with author of Rot and Ruin, Jonathan Maberry.
Goodreads Description:
In the zombie-infested, post-apocalyptic America where Benny Imura lives, every teenager must find a job by the time they turn fifteen or get their rations cut in half. Benny doesn't want to apprentice as a zombie hunter with his boring older brother Tom, but he has no choice. He expects a tedious job whacking zoms for cash, but what he gets is a vocation that will teach him what it means to be human.
To see the interview, visit Bree here.
As for everything else she has in store for everyone this month...you'll just have to stay tuned! But if I know Bree and her love of all things scary, you won't want to miss a minute of what she has planned!

I know what you mean. October comes and I want to write a spooky story! Ghosts and everything.
I'm not a huge fan of spooky-ness, but I'm interested to see what everyone else is doing. :D Thanks for the link!
Thanks for the heads-up. Sounds great! I LOVE this month! I am a major paranormal and spook freak!!
I love being spooked. Playing dress up and all the candy is fun too!
October is my favorite month. Fall. My birthday. Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday -- I love dressing up.
I like October weather. I like playing dress-up. But I not into horror or scary movies. They disturb my sleep.
october's my fave too!
maberry is genius. his writing is so rich and vibrant and thoughtful! really blows my mind!
I love October too. It's even funner now the goddaughter can walk while we trick or treat this year. Plus I get to eat the candy she can't have. LOL.
Now off to read the interview...
I love October, too! So many fun things to do. And thanks for the tip about Bree Ogden's events. Sounds fun!
I LOVE October! Its my favorite month! Hoodies and cold weather and bonfires and candy. Lots of candy...
I love October too. Thanks for the heads up on Bree's blog.
October is such a fun month! I got an ARC of ROT & RUIN and I'm Looking forward to reading it! Looks spooktastic.
The weather in October is the best too. Sweater weather is my favorite! That book sounds really interesting. Have you read it and if you did, did you enjoy it?
I love October!!! The weather, the novels, the cool brisk air, the movies, Halloween, my husbands birthday (is on HALLOWEEN!), my anniversary, it's a fab month!!!
This year I'm going to be Little Dead Riding Hood and my husband is going to be the Big Bad Wolf :) Fun right??
Halloween is my favorite! But zombies are not. They are my most irrational fear, making me miss out on lots of good books. Darn. Guess I'll stick to the ghosts!
