My Very First Blogger Award!

What a great day this has been! The fabulous Jessie Harrell gave me a blog award. How great it that? It's my first ever and I am so excited. It makes me so happy that so many of you check out my blog each week. This has truly been an out of my comfort zone learning experience for me! So thanks to all of you for making it so wonderful!

Now, about that award... It's called the Versatile Blogger award and it comes with a few rules.

1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic for whatever reason! (In no particular order...)
4. Contact the bloggers you've picked and let them know about the award.

7 Things about myself...I'll try not to bore you...

1. When I'm not writing I teach second grade.

2. I have two kids a boy (12) and a girl (3)

3. I am addicted to Starbucks.

4. Starting a blog scared me to death!

5. I hate cheese! Especially sliced...gross!

6. I would love to travel but who has the time? Or money? ( Teachers salary remember.)

7. In addition to books, I have a slight addiction to shoes, purses, get the idea.

Now without further deliberation here are the fantastic bloggers that I have given this award...

Awe your the sweetest! I'm so very flattered that you gave me an award (and inwardly screaming because it's my first ever!)

I think most of us were a little scared to start our blogs - putting yourself out there is never easy. But I'm so glad you started blogging despite being afraid. Not only does it speak to your character but (and this reason is entirely selfish) I really enjoy reading your blog. You picked some great blogs to pass this award onto!

I liked your seven things (though I, myself, like cheese). It's fun getting to know people better through these awards!

Congrats on your first award. The first of many I'm certain.
Thank you so much for thinking of me. You are too sweet. Hugs.

Loved learning more about you as well. We have some things in common with the fact that starting a blog scared me too. I also love shoes and I'm addicted to Starbucks. :)

Oh wow, thank you so much Renae! This is my first award too - yay, award buddies!!

Your seven things were pretty insightful, I love your addictions, especially to purses - I can relate ;)

Thanks again, I'm seconding Melissa when I say that I'm squealing like a Twihard fan right now :D

Cheese? Slice cheesed? Sliced cheese more than, say, cheese fondue? Or Brie? Or Gorgonzola? :D

Thanks so much!! And congratulations on your VERYFIRSTAWARD! *vfa dance*

Hey thanks! I love the color of this award--it's my favorite!

The cheese thing I understand. I personally love it, but I have a friend who won't eat cheese or yogurt. She says, "I won't eat any rotten milk products." Ha ha!

Janet Johnson said...

Awww . . . thanks!

But you don't like cheese?! I guess I can still hang out with you since you're a teacher. ;)

Renae said...

You guys are all too sweet! And I know the cheese thing is weird! Everyone makes fun of me.

But thanks for putting up with my quirks and coming back for more!

Amparo Ortiz said...

I can forgive the cheese thing after reading you're addicted to Starbucks (excellent redeeming quality!). I'm so happy you're loving this whole blogging experience and that you've met people who support you, Renae! You know I'm one of them ;)

And thanks for my award! *grins*

Starting a blog terrified me as well - but I don't know how you can't love cheese! Hard to imagine. :)

Congrats on your award!! Thank you so much for honoring me with this! I am touched!

Hon, putting ourselves out here on the blogosphere is intimidating, exhilarating and well terrifying sometimes. But that's okay I promise this community has been amazing, everyone truly wants to help each other and the lessons I have learned from my bloggie buddies are things I will treasure and take to heart.

Welcome to the craziness! I am so glad to know you ;o)
